A homeowner wanted to remodel their house and add new rooms. Since the house was located in a historic district, one of the challenges was getting approval for raising the front elevation. The client was also about to leave, which put us on a tight deadline to get everything done so the client could get the permit before leaving.
We provided the calculations for the front elevation sooner, allowing the client to start the process at the earliest opportunity. One of our strengths was our ability to offer both structural design and MEP services, which saved the client tremendous time and effort as he did not have to split the work and avoided tons of back and forths over design clashes.
The project was completed with success, and S3DA was hired for more remodeling jobs on the same property.
